Dallas Holiday Adventures

IMG_1389As winter break approaches and classes come to an end, there’s one thing on most people’s minds, the Holidays. Personally, I celebrate Christmas and love partaking in all the festivities! This time of year there’s tons of fun events all over the Dallas area to get you in the holiday mood. I’ll be sharing a couple of my favorite things I enjoy doing during the holiday season!

Ice Skating at the Galleria

Get a group of friends together and head to the Galleria so you can channel your inner figure skater! In the center of the rink there’s a giant Christmas tree which makes for some very cute photos. And after you skate you can get a hot chocolate or coffee at the cafe right next the rink. Also, if you purchase your tickets online they have a student discount.

The Alamo Drafthouse locations around Dallas are showing tons of holiday classics to get you in the Christmas spirit. Check out their website to see a full schedule of their special holiday screenings, but a couple favorites I’d recommend include Elf starring Will Ferrel, and the Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life. And they are also organizing a toy drive so you give back while getting festive.

DFW Tamale Festival

Enjoy the tradition of a tamale at the DFW Tamale Festival! Not only will they have tons of delicious tamales, but there will also be live music, vendors, and maybe even an appearance from Santa Claus himself. I’ve actually never been to this event, but I’m very excited to go and try something new this year.
