This week, UT Dallas celebrates. We celebrate accomplishments. We celebrate the quest of learning and the acquisition of knowledge. We celebrate the joy brought on by the completion of a journey filled with many ups, a few downs, some late nights, maybe even a few tears… but ultimately, invaluable life experiences that have prepared our students to successfully face any challenges ahead of them.

This week, more than 3,400 graduates will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. These graduates are not just students– these are smart, determined, focused, conscientious, caring and outstanding UT Dallas COMETS who are ready to go out and make a positive impact on their communities all around the world.

As the director of the UT Dallas Visitor Center, this time of year means so much to me because it reminds me that the work we do each and every day empowers students to continue on their paths towards greatness. At UT Dallas, we challenge the brightest to be the best, and I am confident our graduates will continue being the very best, each and every day… no matter what they choose to do or where they choose to go.

Congratulations graduates… and to our prospective students considering joining the UT Dallas family, make the decision to be a Comet and aim to reach and surpass all of your goals!

Whoosh!
